Question 1:
This program will create the document indicated. Please be sure
that this is what you want to write before starting. You can
return to the main menu and select another module by pressing the
"escape" (Esc) key.
The program will write a Termination of Contract letter for you.
This is a letter you can send informing the recipient that the
contract you have entered into with him or her is terminated.
Question 2:
It is important to have the letter properly addressed. Here, you
need to designate if the letter is to go to an individual. If the
letter is to go to more than one individual, but not to a company,
then you can answer "yes" here also.
Question 3:
Please enter the full name of the individual to whom the letter is
directed. You may also enter two names if appropriate. For
example, "Mr. and Mrs. George Bowder."
Question 4:
The program assumes that if the letter is not to an individual,
then it is to a company. If the letter is to more than one
individual and not to a company, please return to question 2 and
answer "yes". If you know the name of someone in the company that
is to receive the letter then answer "yes" to this question.
Question 5:
Please enter the full name of the person in the company who is to
receive the letter.
Question 6:
The program assumes that if the letter is not to an individual,
then it is to a company. If the letter is to more than one
individual and not to a company, please return to question 2 and
answer "yes". Here, you need to properly identify the name of the
company. You should use the company's name so that the mail will
get to the proper place.
Question 7:
Please enter the street address of the recipient of this letter.
This can also be a post office box or rural delivery number. It
should normally be the first line of the address of where the
letter is going and should include a suite number, room number,
apartment number, etc; such as "876 Williamson Lane, Suite 6A" or
"P.O. Box 8767". The next question will call for the City, State,
etc., so if there is more of an address that precedes the City,
State, etc., please enter it on this line.
Question 8:
Here, you need to list the City, State, and Zip code for the
letter. This line can also include the territory where the letter
is going or any appropriate designation that you would normally use
for the final line of the address. Thus, if the letter is going to
a foreign country, please include that in answer to this question
also. For example, "Anytown, Magenta 12345" or "Cheltsfield,
Surrey, England, 7G8 T4H".
Question 9:
Please date this letter.
Question 10:
Please enter the date of the contract that is being terminated. If
you are terminating an oral contract put the date when it was
entered.
Question 11:
Most written contracts have paragraphs which allow for the
termination of the agreement.
Question 12:
If there is such a paragraph, enter in the number of the paragraph
from the contract.
Question 13:
Some contracts have specific clauses that they cannot be terminated
without giving a certain number of days' notice to the other side.
If that is the case in the contract you are terminating, then this
question should be answered "yes".
Question 14:
Please enter the number of days needed for termination of the
contract. Often this will be "30".
Question 15:
Contracts are divided into written and oral. It is important to
specify if the agreement being terminated is oral.
Question 16:
Please enter the general nature of the agreement.
Question 17:
Termination of the agreement can be effective at various times.
If, for example, the contract calls for thirty days' notice of
termination then it cannot be effective on receipt of this letter.
Question 18:
Please enter a date when the contract will be terminated.
Question 19:
Specify if you are going to provide anything further under the
terms of the contract. This could be a last shipment, some ending
service, etc.
Question 20:
Please list what you will do on the contract after this letter.
Question 21:
Specify if you are going to require the other side to provide
anything further under the terms of the contract. This could be a
last shipment, some ending service, etc.
Question 22:

Question 24:

going to sign the letter?
Question 26:
If a company will not be signing the letter, then enter the name of
the individual who is going to sign this.

editing further or print it. Note that it will be automatically
